Rescue Biomedical is an early-stage, NIH-funded company developing a wearable drug-device combination product to reduce opioid overdose deaths. We are a small team relocating to San Diego, so this role carries real ownership from day one. Every team member contributes directly to our mission of saving lives and transforming overdose prevention.

Role Description

We’re looking for a hands-on operator to own our commercial planning and help run the business. You’ll lead the work that shapes how our product reaches patients and treatment providers, and you’ll take on more as the company grows. This role suits someone who wants to go deep on a few functions and see their work directly influence product and business decisions.

What you’ll work on

• Lead market integration research with treatment providers, clinicians, and other stakeholders
• Research reimbursement pathways and develop payer strategy
• Support user acceptability studies and translate findings into commercial and product decisions
• Work with vendors and partners to evaluate cost, scalability, and commercial readiness
• Manage contracts, vendor agreements, and day-to-day operations
• Support regulatory planning alongside our regulatory advisors and consultants

Required Qualifications

• Medtech industry experience, ideally at a startup
• Self-driven and collaborative, with comfort operating in ambiguity
• Willingness to take on new responsibilities as the company’s needs change
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Within commuting distance of San Diego

Preferred

• Experience in substance use disorder treatment or behavioral health
• Background in reimbursement, market access, or customer discovery
• Familiarity with FDA drug or combination product pathways
• MBA or equivalent business training

Compensation

$100,000 to $110,000 base, plus equity.
